  • Fill the tank when only when its 3/4 empty. - This saves the engine from carrying unnecessary weight.
  • Fill the tank only at the right time - A lot of people don't know it but loading gas on a cool day can actually get you more fuel. Cooler temperatures causes petroleum molecules to contract, making fuel lighter even at large amounts.
  • Speed up or slow down gradually - Sudden acceleration burns unnecessary fuel. It works the same way when cars slow down, either way burns unnecessary gas.
  • Turn at low speeds - Contrary to popular belief, slowing down on turns actually makes tire treads grip more road. More friction means less fuel combustion.
  • Plan ahead for traffic lights - Most lights are set to change in rhythm with the flow of traffic. Studying their timing will probably make you hit the gas at the same time the lights turn green.
  • Brake without using the engine
  • Stay in the lane - Moving on a straight path is more economical than zig- zagging.
  • Use neutral when stopping - This take the load off the engine and cuts fuel consumption.
  • Use brakes on upgrades
  • Don't prime the carburetor- Its a gas-waster
