Northbound operations of the Metro Rail Transit’s (MRT) was ordered to a half hour halt to give way to police investigations, as one man jumps to greet the oncoming train and dies on the rail yesterday.
At around 10:30 a.m. of one gloomy Wednesday, March 19, a man was reported to have leapt to his death to greet the oncoming MRT train somewhere near the Santolan-Annapolis station, on the north bound rail.
The man, whose identity has yet to be established, died on the spot and suffered multiple body and head traumas.
As a result of this strange incident and a possible, though unofficial, case of suicide, the north bound operation of the MRT-3 had to be interrupted to give way to investigations.
