Phase-1 of LRT-2 to run this April By On-line staff Posted : 3/13/2003 Travel time from Pasig City to Cubao will be significantly reduced with the Phase – 1 of the Megatren or LRT -2 to begin its operation this coming April. The LRT-2, which stretches by some 13.8 kilometers spanning over the areas of Pasig, Marikina, San Juan, Quezon City and Manila City, will have its first phase completed by the end of this month. By April, the overhead train will start ferrying passengers from its Pasig City station to the Cubao station. Its second phase, however, would be completed and commence its operation by next year, 2004. Once completed, the project that amounts to about P31-billion will have thirteen station and traverse the lines of Marcos Highway in Marikina, Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard and Legarda in Manila City.
