Longest Footbridge Soon to Open
By Online Staff
Posted : 1/15/2008

The Metro Manila Development Authority announces that the longest footbridge in the country will soon be completed and opened to pedestrians by March.

According to MMDA Chair Bayano Fernando, the Bicutan Ramp-Footbridge will be completed earlier as scheduled, adding that this will also be a big help in decongesting traffic within South Luzon Expressway particularly at the BIcutan area during rush hour.

Measuring around 500 meters in length, the new footbridge located side to side from South Luzon Expressway to SM Bicutan has ramps instead of stairways so that the disabled and the elderly can use it without difficulty.
